sup guys, ive been paintballing for about a week and a half now, fell in love with the sport btw, anywayz, i noticed on my 98c that when i fire, balls tend to go anywhere but straight (this is with stock everything), i recently purchased a 12' Lapco Bigshot Barrel as well as a double trigger( i know this doesnt help accuracy), now will this barrel help the accuracy of the gun alot? or could it also be the paint im using? its just practice paint. the 30$ per 2000 round stuff. or should i get ebtter paint for like 40$ for 2000.
another question i have is, WTF is an E-grip? lol... thanx for listening to a n00b soon to be l33t Paintballer =D |

well maybe because ur gettin chops thats when the paintballs split in your barrel maybe trying to clean it out each round will help and a egrip is what makes the gun faster and full auto i think |

Alright. Yes, your paint is probably a good part of the problem. Try good fresh paint by diablo/draxxus or rps/pmi and you'll notice a differance. The new barrel should help a lot, but if you don't notice a huge improvment with it, try cleaning it well before use. I've noticed some barrels seem to come with a thin film of oil in them, which, since it isn't evenly applied, causes unequal friction in different spots in the barrel which makes for poor accuracy. Clean your barrel with hot water and dish soap, rinse it well, then maybe swab it with rubbing alcohol and hit it with a dry swab again once the inside of the barrel dries out. I did this when i first got my bigshot and noticed a large improvment over it's previous performance which hadn't been much better than the stock barrel.

The E-grip is actually for the A-5. It basically has a really sensitive
electric switch, and when that's tripped it pulls the trigger for you
(trips the sear), so you have a really fast short trigger pull. It also
has some different modes like full auto, response (one shot per pull
and on per release) (not to be confused with the response trigger,
which is a different system altogether), and some other modes.
The E-bolt is for the 98. It is a system that goes inside your gun's grip, and it also replaces your ASA and bolt system. Instead of a purely mechanical gun, you now have an electro-pneumatic system where the bolt is launched forward by air instead of spring (I think) and it also has the whole electronic deal so your trigger pull is crazy short. Now I guess there is also and E-trigger for the 98 pro, which is equivalent to the E-grip for the A-5. I don't know too much about it though. |

So is the E-grip and Ebolt basically the same thing? does the Ebolt do all the same things the Egrip does or only some of them? or none of them?

I'm pretty sure they have the same modes, its just a different system for a different gun. Better paint will help and a new barrel will help drastically. If you want good accuracy cosider HPA and a Rocket Cock 2.
