wrong forum. and not its not mostly made out of plastic, its made out of aluminum. and the plastic that is on it is a hard plastic composite.

since this thing is already bumped to the top anyway, the a-5 receiver and internals (except the power tube and bolt and other little things" are made of steel. the plastic on the gun is high impact ballistics type stuff, same as the kidn of plastic on m-4's and the new gun that the army is considering making their primary rifle. the only aluminum i can think of on the gun is the barrel and ASA. oh and...uh...try another forum. and the search button. |

i think he was talking about the saturn ions. that "dent resistant side panelling" they advertise is dent resistent cause its heavy duty plastic that is spread over a large area do the thing will pop in and out, almost like those little dotty bubbly things on the top of soda cups when you go to fast food places. but now to kind of ask my own question, is tippmann making there receiver halves out of aluminum now? cause theres been 2 people now saying that the halves are aluminum then someone said the NEW halves suck.
