well i bought a tippman A-5 with the R/T trigger. I have added the flat-line barrel system and a collaspable stock. I want to convert the gun to nitro. What parts do i need. I dont play much speed ball. Also should i get the A-5 low pressure kit. anyways my next parts are going to be a remote line, and a e-grip.

all you need for nitro is the tank. i dont think the low pressure kit is worth it- you could use it on much better things.

If the LPK had an effect on gas efficiency (ie get more shots/fill) I'd say it was worth it. All it pretty much does is reduce recoil which is negligible at best. It isn't worth the the expen$se. All you need is an HPA bottle set for 850psi and you're good to go without any other parts or modifications. I have two HPA tanks for my A-5 with stock internals and it works great!

Yup. Just get a High Output tank, and you're good to go (850 psi). As for the LPK... I don't think it's worth it. Theres more important stuff to spend your $ on, with better benefits. Now the X-chamber... they do nothing for HPA. Don't waste your $. Get a Palmers Stabalizer or other Reg instead (Palmers if you plan to use Co2 also).

If you find that you get hit in the hopper quite a bit, then maybe go with the riccochet....as for the remote coil, I would reccommend getting a coiled rubber, rather than steel braided hose. Get a slide check on it, so you dont have to reach around to your tank when you disconnect the marker. As for the website, I would say Hotshotpaintball.com, but there are plenty others. Shop around first. jj |

the stock hopper isnt going to support a response trigger at all. you'll definately need a loader. the ricochet's pretty good but it wont deflect balls. the halo tsa looks pretty good. places to shop: http://www.paintballadrenaline.com/ http://www.countypaintball.com/ i've had good experiences with all of them Edited by baconking |

Yea, except for the fact that he has an A-5... which means unless you rig some kind of centerfeed, you have to use the Cyclone. And if the ball hits the Rico at the right angle it will deflect off. |

oh, whoops. but i did test the ricocheting abilities of the ricochet. i put it out in a field and shot it like a million times, with different ranges, angles, and velocities- every single ball broke on it. even when they just barely clipped the side. so the chances of a ball ricocheting in a game is probably pretty rare. |

Yeah... the actual reflecting capabilities of the Rico are disputable... But I would also add my vote against the LPK because you have the RT - lowering the pressure can mess with the RT operation. Instead, I would install the "super RT" mod to make your RT faster... |

The highest your tank will output would be 800 psi to 850 psi for a high pressure tank and 300 psi to 450 psi for a low pressure tank. The 4500 psi is the pressure in the tank. Any remote line will work for CO2 or HPA.
