Does anybody know if Shocker Lube and Angel Love Juice are interchangeable?

Or are they entirely different things?

As far as I know... Shocker Lube is Dow 33.
Angel Love Juice is Dow 55.

I'm confident about the SP/33... but not completely sure about the WDP/55.

I used 33 on my Timmy to start... have since switched to 55, no complaints.

You can get a standard toothpaste-size tube (big) of Dow labeled product for the cost of a dinky size SP/WDP labeled product. Just FYI. A big ol' tube of Dow should last a good while. I don't think I'll ever finish my tube of 55.

I should clarify - the Love Juice grease, not the Love Juice oil...

My understanding is that LJ grease is also Dow 33, but I'm not sure.

I've got some Shocker Lube (D33), and want to use where instructions call for LJ grease.

Thanks.

It's for my brand new (to me, anyway) Angel 4 Fly.  Idiot that sold it to me wasn't big on maintenance, as the poor thing is already demanding grease service.  And me without a ram tool...

Yet another Fly on the forum!

If you have any questions about the Fly and need a quick response, I'm just a PM away.

As for the grease, you're best off buying the Shocker stuff. The Love Juice is very thick and "dry," and the LJ is expensive for what you get; the SL will last you forever.

I use Evil grease on mine, but I think it's too runny. The Shocker lube is a good balance between Evil and Love Juice.

By the way, if you haven't figured it out already, circlip pliers make a suitable Ram tool.

Thanks for the welcome...!

As it turns out, I may be sending my new Angel back already...   :(

The gun is fine, but the rest of the package is all crap, so I need a major refund.  Ah, the joys of Ebay.

But I will be getting an A4 Fly - I'm pretty decided that that is the gun that fits my needs.  The only other one would be an 05 Speed, but Flys are a better deal these days.

But I have definitely given in and accepted the inevitability of an Angel in my life.    :)

A friend of mine has a A4 fly too. Id check on the PBnation angel forums, you can probly get a ram tool on there buy and sell forums too.

If they say dow 55 or dow 33 go to a industiral supply shop and get a tube of molykote 55 if they say dow 55 or molykote 33 if they say dow33/shocker lube.
If you want to find a distributer in your down go on the dow corning website and look for the find a dealer icon
