    Posted: 04 December 2005 at 5:35pm
i noticed that tippmann has now made a cyclone feed system that will attach to the 98 customs.
being that i have a model 98, it would require some modifications to the starboard side of the body, particularly a hole to access the power tube and valve.
but, i am wondering if that would require a special low pressure valve with a port for the R/T trigger or cyclone attachment?
Thanks for the help boys

To answer your question: No, the cyclone feed does not require a low
pressure valve with a port for the R/T

does it tap into just the power tube then? does it draw its air from the space between the power tube and the valve?

I'm not sure about custom's, but i know for sure you don't have to drill for the custom pros. And I'm pretty sure you don't need to drill for a custom. When you order the cyclone it comes with the new powertube you need to install for the cyclone to hook up to.

It does tap into the powertube. You're gonna have to drill and possibly tap a
hole in the right reciever. You'll also have to drill and dremel out your grip
to fit the plunger.

Its a total custom job. But its do-able I'm sure.

If you already have a R/T installed, you can call Tippmann and ask them for the T fitting to use the R/T and cyclone at the same time. Also to use is with a LP kit, you need 1/8th" hoses and fittings for the cyclone to cycle properly.

Model 98's were never designed to have RT's put in them. Do you see a hole
behind the trigger for the plunger to fit through?

were not talking about the RT or a 98c though guys. were talking about mounting the cyclone to my m98. i shouldnt have to mod the grip at all... right?

**edit-- p.s. i thought you were talking about the plunger for the cyclone, not the RT.

The Cyclone kit has eveything you need including a new power tube. You will need to drill a hole in the  right side of your of your marker. I can take measurement on my gun if that will help.
By the way nice setup.
