ok everone knows about the co2 compressed air problem well i think i have a solution though heavy and uses moderate amout of electricity. i think that someone should try to design a pack that compresses air that you use like on the feild with a remote (even though you may have to fire slower than usual for a compressor to keep up) because that would albeit expensive be a tech. that would pay for itself in time though it wouldn't be that popular because of charging, weight, and slow rate of fire.

That would take an extreme amount of electricity. A typical home compressor runs at 50 Amps, and outputs around 170 psi at most. That's not even enough to cock a lowend gun, and it would even have trouble running higher end guns. A compressor that is designed to fill tanks can be a trple phase, 460 volt monstrosity. There is no way this would ever work. |

32 degrees has made the Evolt marker which, as I understnad, operates similar to an Airsoft Electric Gun- an electric motor will power a compression tube that compresses enoguh air for one shot. It works very quickly, so rate of fire will be just fine for MilSim, and you don't need an air tank. The disadvantage is the abtteries are good for maybe 500 shtos, and take 12 hours tor echarge or thereabouts. Then again, battery technolog is improving very rapidly these days, so the next generations of EVolt may be better and smaller.

I'm calling shenanigans. Sounds way too low to be feasible. |

The Nova has actually been around twice. In its first incarnation it was called the Nova and the second time around (purchased by new management) it was called the Super Nova. Neither is in production anymore although there were rumors a couple of years ago that a third company was looking into purchasing the manufacturing rights. The Nova was an very unusual design; not only did it operate at extremely low pressure, but the barrel moved back and forth to load the paintballs and if I remember correctly it was essentially boltless. It used a "spool-valve" thingy instead. Hopefully I got most of that right, I only got to handle one a couple of times 4 or 5 years ago. |

The Assault 80 actually uses the same technology as the Nova. Basically Nova III.

Cool, thanks. That must be the company I heard about. ![]() Do you know anything more about the valve-tech than what I mentioned? My knowledge was/is pretty sketchy on that. |

My apologies- I had no idea a marker could operate that low. I stand corrected.
