   on my 98c, i chopped a ball and it is all over the bolt and area around
it, i cleaned most of it but some of it i cannot reach because it is
covered by the case. is it necessary to take it apart to clean it or is
paint harmless to the bolt?

	You bet'cha... Have fun amd make sure you know where the pieces come from. There's a blow apart drawing in your manual. Also one on the WEB site. Think of it as an opportunity to figure out how your gun works.

	Yeah you really should take the gun apart. You'll be doing it a lot for upgrading and cleaning/oiling. It's really no big deal after the first few times. Maybe take the halves apart inside a ziploc bag so that if springs randomly fly out, you won't lose them. It shouldn't happen, but sometimes it does! Good luck

	how often and when should i reapply oil, i only have that thing that came in the ziploc with the gun

	Then buy some more oil. I clean mine and re-oil it after every time I play.

	I used to be somewhat anul I guess when it came to keeping my A-5 clean, inside and out. I cleaned/oiled after every time I played. Probably every 3rd or 4th day of play is a good average.

	For what it takes, you might as well take apart/clean your gun after every day of play. That way, it will be in tip top shape for the next time.

	Go light on the oil too... A few drops goes a long way. Too much oil and things start sticking inside. A drop on the power tube (rub it around with your finger), a drop on the rear bolt (rub it around with your finger), a drop on the trigger, and three drops in the ASA. Leave your barrel off and add air to the gun. Fire it a few times so the oil moves to where its suppose to be and put your barrel back on. Like I said, very light on the oil. That's what, six drops for the cleaning? Those small tubes that come with the gun should last a LONG time...
