i want a new loader, giving my ak to my nephew for christmas. i heard bad things about the evo2, i dont know if i want the cyclone feed. i`ve been thinking about the halo b. heard alot of good things about this loader, the only thing i was wondering is the constant pressure on the paintballs will it push past the detent or sence the 98c loads from the side will the balls be pushed against the far wall of the breech and not go past the detent?? just wondering thanks to all svrider |

I'm pretty sure you can adjust tension with the stock Halo board. I don't know, I use a Cheetah.

If you're detents are in good shape, then you'll be fine. If they're in bad shape, you might have a couple mis-feeds. But most of the stuff about the hopper having too much pressure of the detents are overexagerated. A lot of people say the Evo 2 does this to the 98c, but out of the 25,000+ balls I've shot out of my 98c w/Evo 2, I can honestly say that I can't remember 1 time when this happened.

Been running a Halo B on my 98C with E-Bolt for about 6 months. It will not double feed unless the detent is worn out. When you mount the Halo install a new detent and you are good for a year. Never a problem with too much pressure. |

the halo b is a good choice. so is the evo2. either one of those hoppers will help you out so much. i wouldnt worry about it feeding past the ball detent until it happens, im not saying it will, i honestly dont think it will but dont let that make up your mind because you can always get another detent.

2 weeks ago a kid had a reloader b on a 98 and he had double and tripple feeding problems Get a egg, IMO halos are too much for tippys. Eggs are great |

Neither an egg nor a halo should create misfeeding problems. As long as your detent is in good shape, it will work correctly. My guess is that ^ that kid either didn't have his detent in (common mistake, I did it in a toruny with my tippy once), or his was worn out.
A halo is much better quality than an egg and it's a true force feeder, not a cheap imitation like the egg. It will be way more reliable and way more consistant. Just stay away from Viewloader. Go for the halo. |

Um war break. The egg is not a immitation. the evolution 1 and 2 came out before the halo. everything was in working order with the 98, well 98's because he tryed a nother one and the same thing happend |

Fact is that the HALO B cannot double or triple feed with a detent that is in good condition. If you have been playing with a marker for a year or more it may continue to work just fine. But, when you slap a HALO on the WORN OUT detent has to be replaced or the marker will double feed. |

I meant that they aren't real force feeders. |

I'm curious as to what you've heard that's so bad about it. I have an Evo2 on my NME and it feeds just fine. I much prefer the Egg over the Halo. The Egg is slightly lighter than the Halo, and I like the loader lid of the Egg too. The weight issue alone is enough for me to sacrifice a few bps and go with an Egg. |
