i have a tippmann 98 custom wit cyclone feed hopper,16" barrel and a x chamber.well i wanted to make my gun shoot a bit faster.but i dont no weather to go with a rt or a double trigger.i've seen so rt's that are like paint grinders and just gum up your gun.but then on the other hand i wanted a double trigger just to make me shoot a bit faster.but i dont want to waste alot of paint to. any suggestions on the smartest choice to take?

matthew, a double trigger isnt gunna make you shoot any faster. just because you see other guns that have double triggers doesnt mean thats why they shoot fast. those guns are electric, yours isnt your gunna hit your rof pretty fast with a 98. the double trigger doesnt mean you can rock it. the only way your gunna get more rof is by getting the r/t or the e-bolt.

Yea, the double trigger isn't really going to enable you to shoot faster. You might be able to pull a couple more bps, but nothing massive like the R/T will enable you to do.

And the R/T is a great upgrade. And if you have the correct setup, you'll never chop, no matter how fast you're shooting. As long as you have a good hopper (which you have the Cyclone), and good paint, you'll rarely chop, if at all in your 98c. So as long as you buy good paint, you should shoot fine. And I highly suggest that you get the R/T. It will enable you to shoot a lot faster than a stock 98c can, even with a 2x trigger.

Dont get both, the double trigger on the R/T makes it harder to sweet spot because you have more leverage. I know, I have both.

Double trigger really is more for comfort on a mechanical custom.

A double trigger is basically just user preference.

Go for the RT, it'll get you shooting faster. And, you wont need a double for it.

Well, yes and no.  An E-grip/E-bolt was made for the Custom Pro, but if you really want to, you can get custom parts and put it on your 98C, but if u want to keep it simple, go for the R/T.  It's worth the money and the results on it are fantastic!

Smart Parts Ion
Tech T Bolt
CCM Feedneck
NDZ Roller Trigger
CP Razor Drop Forward
Virtue Board
CP ASA On/Off
Freak Kit 14"

You can't get custom parts and put it on your 98c. The e-grip is for the A-5 and Custom Pro, and some newer 98 customs. THAT'S IT! You can order all the parts you want, it won't go on your 98 custom unless it's a newer model. (0r you mod it for like 2 days staight)

wrong e-bolt is for 98c and a different type of e-bolt is for the m98. egrip is officially for the a5 and custom pro but mods have been done to make  it work on 98c's

get the r/t. it won't grind up the paint. it shoots at 15bps, and your cyclone feeds at 15bps. you will be fine.
Setup:
Tippmann Custom Pro
E-trigger
12" All American
BT Folding Stock
GTA Inline Expansion Chamber Kit
Dead on Pro seal
Cyclone Feed System
Remote Line
Polished internals
