Hey,

I was just wondering if you can ONLY use low pressure on a gun such as an angel speed 05. Do you have to buy a new tank, or does the reg on the gun take care of the air imput for you?

thanks

The minireg (inline regulator) on newer Angels are not set to accept tank pressure above 500ish, assuming you want to shoot less than 500fps.

You can rebuild the minireg (instructions should come with the Angel, but can also be found on the Angel-Owners forum) to accept high pressure tanks, or you can use a different inline regulator that can handle higher tank pressure, like a Gladiator or a Stabilizer.

If you buy an LP kit for your A-5, you can make it run around 400 psi. The reg on the LPK will drop your tank pressure (preferably an 850 pis output from an HPA tank) down to the operating pressure of the gun.

So no, Angels and high end guns aren't the only LP ones. If you have an adjustable tank, you can run many LP guns without a HP regulator. Most people don't do this though.
