Some of you may remember that I sold my original CCI Phantom to get a SP Impulse.. against HO's thoughts if he still is on the forums?   Anyway I am getting a new pump and have decided either another Phantom or cocker with pump kit.
I have NEVER seen a cocker pump in real life let alone seen how well one works, so if you guys have any thoughts on it compared to a Phantom let me know.

Thanks

The only "cocker pump" I've tried is my Sat Cong Sniper, but I would say
Phantom. it is so versatile. You can switch to Stock Class in a number of
seconds and it performs great right out of the box.

I believe any cocker can accept a pump kit. You can get them for 50 bucks I
think, probably cheaper.

I said it before, I'll say it again

THE TERM IS NOT 'COCKER PUMP', IT IS 'SNIPER II'.

An Autococker is a Sniper that had the pump kit removed to add a front block and pneumatics, hence the term 'Auto Cocker'. It automatically cocks. Get it?

That said...

I've owned 2 Snipers and 3 Phantoms. Both are very good markers, and the real question is; what are you wanting to do? Do you want to throw on a Revvy and small HPA tank and play as basically a slow semi? Or do you want to go full-out stock class, with 10rd tubes and 12grams? Snipers are largers and (generally) less efficient that Phantoms are; at least, in my experence, I get 50-75 more shots out of one of the Phantoms than I did with the Snipers using my 3.5oz tank. However, there are certainly more upgrades available for Snipers, what with all the internals, barrels, trigger frames, etc.

Why did you sell your last Phantom? If you're looking for something that's a bit heavier/maybe a little more stable firing platform, try out a Sniper. You won't be disappointed with either choice, I gaurantee that, though
