Put an APE rampage board or a WAS an it will be Way beter than an ion, and i would take one with a stock e-grip any day over an ion.

Ion's I will simply put are great for the price, but also they should have many upgrades that you need to add to them.

The A5 w/ EGrip is great, especially if you add for a small price of around $28-$30.  It only works with the EGrip this trigger, but it makes it walkable up to 15 BPS! Which is pretty good.

The Ion is a great gun for the price also, I don't consider it a High End, but I would also has Snake6 said.. I would go with the A5 anyday over the Ion.

Id go with the A5 and egrip. Get a new board for it and your set. Talk about walking over the Ion...

I'd take the A5 with E-Grip and Dual Trigger over the Ion any day. Not only would you need the Ion you would also need a Halo or something like that. The WAS board would make an A5 slaughter an Ion. You would also do the QEV mod on the Cyclone to keep up with the WAS.

I would go with the ion. I’m more into speed ball and I like a lighter, faster, and smaller marker. But my opinion is bias do to the fact I prefer speed ball. But then again you’re on a tippmann forum comparing a tippmann marker to a smart parts marker so there is bias there to.

I guess the ion would probably be smaller and lighter, but im not too sure on how much faster compared to an a5 egrip with one of those ape boards in it, idk, I dont like a few things about the ion... well, really only one thing... it does not ever seem to impress me... .I see on certain other paintball websites..all these videos posted with people shooting their ions really fast... that is not impressive, moving your fingers on a switch... kinda like turning on and off a light..... now, something that I would find impressive is someone doing some work and mods to get something like an old stingray (for example) to shoot fast ... or to make a mechanical marker do something kool, rather than just clicking a trigger really fast and claiming that it is something amazing.... idk, does anyone see what im sayin?

ya i see what your saying but most people don't have the time or tools to do something like that. i've always wanted to make a truely one of a kind custom marker.

the ion is a better gun for what you wanna do....besides the fact that the a5 is more durable ur gonna have to put more money into the a5...my friend has an a5 with egrip and its cool but i like my ion more in all categories

A-5. It's built like a tank, unlike the Ion. It's also just as fast as long as it gets a new board.

i'd say tippy over ion on a smart parts forum.  i got an ion the other day, i really liked it, but it doesn't compare to my 98 w/ halo b, and super r/t.
98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.
