The only other thing that will work safely in any paintball gun pretty much except the C-3, is compressed air.

(Hope that made sense)

yes compressed air is better than C02, you will get better consistancy and it wont be effected by how cold it is and stuff like that, and this is not in the right section, this is the MARKER GALLERY you need a pic of you marker for it to go in here

If you don't want to make the jump to HPA, a Palmer's Stabilizer will work great with CO2 and get very consistent results.
Also look into an anti-siphon tube for your CO2 tank combined with an expansion chamber, if the palmer's is too expensive.

Yup. But if you got the $, defiantly go HPA.

The rule of thumb usually goes:

UPGRADES:

1)new barrel

2)new gas source....

get compressed air b/c when you get out on the feild, you'll know your gonna play compared to its reliability to that of c02. there's no better feeling than KNOWING your not gonna have to worry about freezing or frosting or velocity spikes with a c02 tank..

Compressed air is easier to regulate than CO2, since CO2 has to change states from liquid to gas.  Since Compressed air is essentially N2, the easier regulation makes ball-to-ball velocity fluxuate less- more accurate.

Since N2 is not a liquid, it will not damage electronic internals like CO2 will.  also, N2 is easier on seals and o-rings.  CO2 is almost corrosive to these seals and will eventually decay them.  Ever had a white o-ring?  Co2 is cold when it expands into a liquid and the cold hardens seals...

CO2 is much more expensive than N2, yet N2 tanks cost more.

Go to a field, and you'll find that most fields have free N2, while CO2 costs money...

Why?

all you need is a HP Compressor to get compressed air

CO2 requires many pneumatics systems and filters.

What fields have free air?  Everywhere I play it's $1/1,000psi to fill air.

Mine does. You play a flat fee of like 16 for the day, and that includes all day air. But if you're using Co2 you have to pay an extra 3 on top of the 16.

Really.  Huh.  I know places that will sell you an all-day air pass for 5 or 10, but on top of admission.

That's a pretty good deal.

If you don't want to spend the cash for HPA and you want a close result, get a good Expansion Chamber and an Anti-Siphoned CO2 tank.

As long as you get a High Ouput tank (~850 psi), then you can air it up and so, no extras needed except the tank! And HPA, Nitrogen, and Compressed Air are all the same thing in the paintball world. But HPA/Nitro/Compressed Air>Co2, with just about any gun.

What I meant was.. I've heard that nitrogen ruins your gun somehow..and there is something you should get to preven any damages.

Also .. so if you say all three are the same in paintball world.. so it does really matter if i get comressed air over nitrogen tank?

Thanks for helping.
