But while i was looking at accesories i noticed the vertical expansion chamber kit (call me a noob) but what exactly does it do??i have seen many pics with it in there im just curious, if i was to get both those 2 ups how much do u think i could get it for, because tippmann wont put prices on their product guide...

Expansion chambers allow the C02 to expand into a gas before the gun is fired, therefore eliminating that white cloud of C02 from the end of your barrel.
The vertical adapter is the thing you'll need to mount an expansion chamber to your 98. Edited by Bango |

An Expansion Chamber (X-Chamber) allows time for the liquid CO2 to expand into a gas form. Thus making your gun more consistent, and will help prevent your gun from freezing up at higher rates of fire. The kit comes with the X-Chamber, a Vertical Adapter (which you need in order to hook up the X-Chamber), and also a new length hose. You can find them on www.countysports.com.

I would suggest a Palmers Stabilizer over a X-Chamber though. But if you dont have the money, a X-Chamber will work.

The set probably has the T fitting that you need to have both the R/T and Cyclone. You could buy the kit, or just call Tippmann and ask for the T fitting. Palmers Stabalizer>X-Chamber. Both will help prevent the liquid from getting into your gun, but the Stabalizer will do a better job, and can also be used effectively with HPA.

Just get a HPA tank. Its an expensive, but necessary upgrade. You should do that earlier rather than later because it is one of the simplest upgrades you can add and one that will make your marker more consistent and therefore more accurate.

Technically an expansion
chamber off a BE gun will work, but I'd say a palmer's if you plan to
move to HPA in the future, or just get an X-Chamber.
