I am planning on buying a new tv. I want a HD one fore sure but what is the difference between LCD and a Plasma? I was planning on around a 40 - 50 in. What is the best one for my money?

Plasma if you have the $4000+ lying around for such a large one.

Buuuut, you gotta think about the fact that plasma TV's can burn in images and generate TONS of heat.

But for picture quality, they can't be beat.

so they are not the best idea to use with a video game console?

what is the difference between a plama and a lcd?
