I play woodsball and when I shoot the enemys are infront of me, I don't
really need to shoot very far but it's always a good thing though. I
have heard about the all american barrel and the flatline, maybe
there's some good other barrels too.
I want something precise that gives a good range. Any suggestions? Edited by GabQc |

Is the flatline a good barrel? I mean.. Is it a good quality barrel
that will last more than 15 games? I heard so many people saying that
flatline sucked.. I would like range more than accuracy though.
Also when you say the flatline isn't accurate, is it less accurate than the 98c normal barrel? |

You will lose some accuracy the farther you shoot. It's more accurate than the stock barrel. The only other range increasing barrel besides the Flatline is the BT Apex.

I have the apex... It gets some amazing range on it, but the initial
drop off of the ball kinda sux. the ability to shoot around/over
things can be useful too. the barrel is really easy to adjust. I
did have some problems with shooting with it, but the barrel is the
last thing I would blame these problems on. I was using 6 month
old Zap Cryptic paint in 20 degree weather with co2 and an RT..... the
barrel did break balls (no pun intended) but that was most likely due
to the fact that many of the balls were dimpled... So with
decent paint under good (better) conditions, the apex, when set right,
is probably a great barrel... the range is phenomenal... i would
suggest trying one b4 buying, but I think if you want range more so
than accuracy, the apex is the way to go.... I would not reccomend the
flatline, i had one of those too... every time you wanna clean the gun,
ya gotta take the flatline off and then recalibrate it every time you
want to use it again... with the apex, ya just skrew it in and play....
Apex = good for woods... and could probably be useful in some speedball
situations...... JJ 14inch ceramic = Speedball and close quarters
woodsball... more accuracy (by far) but less distance.

I dont know where you are buying from. Ceramics can be bought for less than $40 on most online stores. I would recomend a Ceramic if you are strapped for cash, or a Lapco Bigshot if you are willing to spend around $50. |

Best low cost barrel on the market is the J&J ceramic IMO. pbgear.com sells them for $29. It is quiet, accurate, consistant, lightweight, and it really does shoot itself clean. I have used Lapcos, CP's, Boomsticks, Ultralights, Flatlines, Aradus, kits, countless stock barrels, and Teardrops/Progressives, and the J&J performs as well as the best of them. For rec woodsball, it is the perfect barrel. Get it and be done with it.
