I just bought a new A5 cr15 that came with a flatline barrel and

response trigger. I only play woodsball and want to use CO2 because

I have a fill station and tank. I added a Core remote line with slide

check and a Palmer inline stabelizer at the tank. I play at 7 to 8000 ft

the temp this weekend was in the 20's. With the velocity adjusted all the way out and  pressure set at 575psi I could only get 235 to 240 fps.

I want to stay with CO2 and get the best performance I can.

Where did I go wrong and what else do I need to do

umm, well you don't need to get over 300fps anyway, so thats gettin close
98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

Turn your pressure up to ~625psi when it is that cold , your marker actually performed well for that temp.

Thanks

I heard you want to keep about 270fps for the flatline. I bought the palmer 0-600 gauge and did not want to turn it up to gauge limit.

I was also told to keep pressure lower at cold temps to keep liquid out of your marker. True or False?

Sorry for the repeaded posting. I was under the impression that lower psi ( arround 400to500 ) was the best for CO2 on cold days.

Can the marker power tube or springs be changed to increase velocity

two things , your correct you do not want to turn use your gauge past the limit, the only solution would be to get another gauge 0-800psi .

secondly, CO2 being stored as a liquid in the tank( under pressure) turns to gas when released from being under pressure . With that in mind , the answer is true , you need to increase the pressure via the REG therefore requiring more CO2 thus the possibility of more liquid in the gun, buuuut you need more pressure when its cold to get the correct velocity. Its a "catch 22"

This is a simplistic description: Its harder for the CO2 to turn into gas when it is colder

just to add, in the cold the flatline tends to chop (the balls get brittle)

Yeah you can use the Maddman spring kits (like 10 bucks) and that will help a little bit.  Other than that the only other thing that will help is HPA.
