if you play woods all the time i would go with the flatline , if not i would look into a different barrel.

Well, what type of paintball do you want to play (woodsball or speedball)?
NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

flatline is pretty much for woods only

but a A-5

with - drop(small)/ onoff/ AA-freak-CP-some other nice barrel- and e-grip with R5 hopper

that is the best speedball

and you can add a WAS board

SP Vision Imp w/ ALL NDZ internals, CP flame drop w/ on/off, Freak-AA tip, lowrise feedneck, NDZ Pro-Mag trigger, tapeworm, NDZ lpr cap, NDZ ti. bolt pin, maybe thats it?

Since you'll be playing in the woods, I'd say get the Flatline, but get an r/t rather than an e-grip. The e-grip is more susceptible to weather/wear and tear than the r/t is, so the woods is not exactly the best place to use it.

Number 1 no matter what you play don't get a flatline the accuracy is junk. I've had a flatline on a 98 and A-5. Get a kit of some sort, Pipe and empire are nice and possibly the freak.

Number 2: If you play woods and never/very rarely play speedball or never think about getting into turneys get the RT instead of an e-grip,

Number 3: Get an air tank and a reg, get a decent or good reg though.

There you are set now.

Please for the love of god don't get a flatline.

Freaks are overrated.

If you really don't care how much you spend, I advocate buying a better gun over uprading the A-5.

a-5, r/t, apex, and hpa or palmers.  Sights of your choice, and any preference upgrades like a different hopper etc.

you may also want to get a straight barrel like a lapco bigshot for when you play forward, but the apex has good accuracy when used as a standard straight barrel anyways.
