How does one remove the lettering from a 98c?  Do you use a dremel or is it truly machined using an end mill?  what does it cost to get it machined, if required?

It doesn't cost you anything unless you have to go buy the stuff just to be used once on your gun.

And you should watch your language. If your vocabulary is so limited that you must stoop to profanity, please make it a private email.

yeah a file or a dremel will work lust fine, although an end mill would work quite fast to take the bulk of the stock off of the lettering but in the end you would end up using a file to get it smooth. plus if you sent it out to get machined it would be pretty expensive.

I used a Table Grinder, and it worked great. Then, I touched it up with a hand file, and sand paper. You can just use a hand file completely, but it will take more time than with power tools.

Because we want are markers to be unique. Not like the other 34739487859375237 98c's/CP's out there. And, it also looks way better, lightens the marker, and it's fun to do.

Since everybody else is quoting the offending language, I might as well too.  Please, people, don't quote these things - it adds piles of work.

But to the point - Stiffy, take a giant chill pill and lighten up.  Hamster's sig is harmless.  We've all said something goofy at one point or another.  Your reaction to his sig is much more harmful to your reputation than the sig itself.

And, of course, your rude flaming earns you a strike to go with that reputation.  Now leave it be.

Use a hand file. I would never use a dremel for something like that besides removing the bulk of the metal.

I used a large rough grade hand file, and a smaller fine grain file to finish mine. Leave it just a hair unfinished, then go over the whole thing with varying grades of steel wool. Coarse first, then fine.
