where should i oil my gun? i heard you should put it where you screw in your C02 so it goes through the gun? but im not sure |

Put 2 drops of oil in the ASA, and when you field strip it oil all the O-Rings.

Yes it is Delrin. And it is slick, but a drop or two of oil on the power tube on which the forward bolt slides helps to remove dirt and grit that damage those slick materials. The bolt itself doesn't make contact with the receiver area of the marker except when it sides into position behind the ball after pushing the ball into the breech of the barrel. The "O" ring around that front end should also be lubricated with a drop or two of oil. Slick plastics like Delrin and other Nylon off shoots do wear against each other. Oil helps. |

I like to oil everyhting that moves...obviously friction and ur gun arent a good thing so o rings, your asa and around ur bolt n such are good. |

You want to oil anything that is steel, or else it will rust.
After you have torn the gun apart and cleaned and oiled everything else, you put the gun back together. Put a drop of oil or two down in the ASA. This is the threaded thing that you screw the air tank into. Then TAKE THE BARREL OFF. Screw in your tank, and fire about twenty shots through the gun. The point of all of this is to get some oil into the gun's valve. YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE BARREL ON THROUGH THIS PROCESS. Otherwise, you will shoot oil into the barrel, and your accuracy will be terrible, and the oil will be very difficult to clean out. Edited by Shub - 17 January 2006 at 12:17am |
