Kingman products aren't the best, but I would give them some
credit for quality. The Ion is better and more customizeable, but
the Electra is faster.

Listen, I'll try not to be annoying. What was wrong with that coat?

Dude, the Electra is faster, if you get to shoot it and not have to repair it all the time...And durable? Gimme a break!

98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

ions use an air selenoid like all high end markers. the ions insides are most comparable to any dm series markers it uses a spool valve that when the trigger switch is switched there is a pin in the valve that pulls out of the way and air comes into it the amount of air is relulated by your dwell settings afte a certain amount of time it closes and the marker fires, that entire process takes about 42 micro seconds on my ion with other parts you can get it down as low as 12

The Ion is the best "bang for the buck" marker in the sport ... PERIOD.

It is a "true" electropneumatic, not a sear tripper (like a Spyder).

Much, much better product, IMHO.

Ion.  Deffinetly.  I'm really not an Ion person, but they are great guns.  Light, fast, and they are cheaper than most other tourney level markers.  They keep up with the Egos and DM's, but are a fraction of the cost.  The electra has the Kingman name behind it, which means it probably isn't that reliable.  It also isn't tourney legal with the rocking trigger.  Overall Ion>Electra

Also, in terms of competing with the Big Boys, there is a new board for the Ion, the Blackheart board.

It increases BPS to 20 and improves the eye logic, further decreasing the chances of chopping.

Go for the Ion.  They're really nice guns and they don't break easily.
