Israel

How much do you really care about Israel? I mean, do you really think that we should support them as much as we do? We caught one of their spies in the Pentagon(He got 12 years today) and they haven't exactly cooperated as well as they could have in the whole peace process thing overthere....do we really need to put so much at stake to support them like they are our little brother? I mean, this Jews have had a really hard time in their history and I have the highest respect for them as a whole but do that really have THAT much right to be there? I mean, they basically invaded it after they left Egypt back in the day(Moses and Joshua we basically warlords), killing everyone there and repopulating the place so they could have total control so I mean, if you go back far enough the Arabs were really there first. That and they were gone from the area since like the time of the Roman Empire so saying they have a right to the area is like saying the Indians have a right to take back Ohio....Not to mention the fact that them being there is probably THE number one destabilizing factor in the area after Iraq.....I don't know, I think the whole thing just stems from religion so using logic is prolly a lost cause but I just don't understand why Israel gets so much support....

  Did you know they thought about putting Isael in Europe or South America back in the late fourties when they were talking about reesablishing it......I think that would have been a good idea....

Once we stop supporting Israel so much, It wouldn't suprise me if some Radical Terrorist groups would step down...

Wasn't Israel the "black eye" of the Middle east when they were first establishing, didn't they have some Radical Jewish Terrorist organization that killed Palastinians?(sp)

Yeah, they hate our football, voting, and women's rights. They don't have any actual beefs with us as far as things we're doing over there.....

I watched a history channel thing on it a while back but it's in the old testament. My jewish history isn't great but from what I understand Moses became somewhat of a military leader during their time in the desert and Joshua was one of his right hand men who took over after he did. He went on to lead the battle of Jericho. The history channel thing went through the various battles that the jews went through at the begining and looked at them from a purely military point of view.

Should we support Israel? YES!

They are about our only "true allie" over there. Do I trust the Saudi's? Hell no! IMO

Hoyt, I was under the impression you were a Bush supporter. Being so and saying what you just said are mutually exclusive so I guess I was wrong....Of course, so is the battle flag of the Confererate States of America and a statement against oppressive government so who knows....


Justice, if we could stop being lazy and/or greedy and get off of the oil we wouldn't need any allies over there.....And besides, did ya miss the part about them spying on us? I know nations do that to each other all the time but still....doesn't reek of "true ally" to me....
