Yes that is the valve for your gun. It is a complete valve with all the internals - springs, plunger, etc. If you have stripped out the threads for the bolts then you could get away with buying just the valve body (link below $17) but... I gather that it is a little difficult to strip the internals out of the valve body. You would have to take the internals out of your existing valve body and put them back in the new one. I don't know what your skill level is - you could save a headache and spend the $30 on the complete valve and just pop it in. Ya turns out my proshop is ordering some new valves in for tippmanns.
there in backorder right now so im going to have to wait at least
another 2 weeks. but id rather they do it then me. im competent, but i
always seem to break things when its hard to break them. for example, i
didnt break the valve when putting in the vertical adapter, i didnt
crack the powertube, but i somehow managed to break it by stripping the
threads.

ya it is easy to strip out those holes. cuz the valve is made out of aluminum(sp?) and so aluminum is a soft metal so it can be EASILY stripped. i have done it myself. stripped on of the holes to hold my powertube on the unmarked side. except i got a whole new valve for $20. plus it was from my local field owner.

ok im probably going to order the valve tonight from tippmann parts.
thanks guys :) Is blue loctite suitable for installing my VA to the new
valve or do i need to use red?
If you recommend teflon, i found some but i need directions on how to use it (how much, where, etc) |

well, i have never used blue loctite. but i heard it is better than red loctite.
but if you are going to use teflon. you simply first have a straight edge when you start on the tape. then place it over the threads. and go around it two times. then hold exactly where you want the tape to end, and then just pull to make a nice straight edge for the next time. and the excess on the threads that is hangin out, just smooth it over and you're done. |

First, I would go for the new body without the internals. Go here (the last post in the archive) for complete instructions on how to disassemble your power valve. (With pictures!) Marker Trouble? Read Maintenance Archive Blue Loc Tite is a preferred sealant. Good for the screws, because it holds but the screws are still easily removable. Also it works best, in my book, for the braided hose fitting. Teflon vs. Blue Loc Tite is also covered in my article in the maintenance archive. Edited by Bruce A.
