im having a big problem with my a-5...everything seemed normal for a while after i bought it used from a kid i know...the problem was that the barrel was wobbly (from the actual adapter part not just the barrel itself)...so i took it apart and i noticed that on the adapter there is an o-ring that fits in the slot of it...but the thing is if u take the o-ring out the wobble goes away...BUT when i took the o-ring off it wouldnt go back on so im questioning whether the ring was meant to be there or not (the kid i bought from might have put in by accident)...and when i dont have this o-ring on the adapter simply slides out (i read the other forums and tightened the front 3 screws as much as possible) but still the adapter slides out...i need some serious help and i hope that wasnt to confusing... |

You are twisting the adapter after sticking it in there right? It twists to lock in to place. It shouldnt be possible to pull it straight out after you twist it to lock.

I understand that it is supposed to twist and lock in, but it isnt really "locking"...and it can REALLY EASILY twist (which makes it fall out |

I had the same problem and i had to take the two reciever halves apart and sand the new and improved coating out of the reciever halves. I guess it it common with the new paint they are useing that the overspray one the edges of the reciever halves that it creates too much of a gap for the barrel adapter. After i sanded mine it worked fine, The barrel stays in fine plus it was a good oportunity to polish the internals.

Make sure the screw just below the barrel adapter is tightened.
