Ok, I noticed that when my barrels, one stock and one stiffi, are screwed in that they are not pointed straight with the gun.  They pointed to the right.  Anyone had this problem?  Any info will be greatly appreciated.  Ohh...yea...I have a Custom Pro.  Thanks.

Maybe your just not screwing the barrels on straight. But it very well could simply be a defect in your gun. If your posative that you are screwing you barrel on correctly, then I would suggest sending the gun back to Tippmann. They should replace your reciever halfs for free.

I was hoping I wouldn't hear that.  Thanks for the advise.  Hopefully some else may have had this happen to them.  Give this friendly forum a little time before I call Tippmann.

i dont know about this one, but i've heard that old tippy barrels do not fit on new guns b/c tippmann's molds have broken down over the years and the ones they repaced them with were not the same thread size......so are you using an old barrel?

Out of the four barrels I have for my 98C two fit that way also. It appears to me that the threads on the barrel are ever so slightly mis-aligned. It does not have any effect on the accuracy of the barrels. Once any sight you might install is sighted in there is no problem there either. But, most of the time I am watching the flight of the ball to gage my shots rather than looking down the receiver/barrel slight mis-alignment or through a sight. Your problem is not unique, and it does not impact the marker's accuracy.

This isn't an unusual situation with the 98 series. Just slightly loosen the front bolts, screw the barrel in fiarly tight, visually align the barrel (lightly tapping the barrel seems to work)& tighten the screws.
the threads of the barrel & receiver halves are such a coarse thread it's sometimes difficult to get a perfect alignment without some effort.

Thank you so much for the replies.  It's good to hear this is not a unique problem.  I tried what you said to do, pepperdog.  I still couldn't get it to align properly.  I'll keep messing with it.  If i find a solution I'll post it on here.  Thanks for the help gentlemen.
