Well that Ollie Lang contract deal for $600,000 was it got me thinking. If paintball becomes a high paying sports career, how long do you guys think it will take before kids are getting full-ride university scholarships to play paintball? I ask this because i know like 6 universities have teams, and wondering if paintball in that sense could survive.

meh... until college paintball becomes an actual athletic sport... i doubt it'll happen any time soon.
right now i think most paintball teams are club sports. it would have to end up in NCAA or something. |

There's a league and it looks like it's on the right track to being up
there with the NCAA and stuff. A lot of colleges have paintball teams
(even John's Hopkins has a team) so it's only a matter of time.

Problem with NCPA=It is just paintball tournaments with only college teams. Look at the standings, like 90% (or more) of the teams don't play every event. It is serious money to send a team to every event. Would a basketball team miss a game? No. And no it will never happen. Why give someone a free ride to college and a free ride in paintball? If it becomes a college sport just getting any financial help is enough. And didn't Ollie Lang only get 100k and a job anyway? |

I dont know why people dont fully appreciate our sport. Paintball is a game where you dont need a "game face" or want to destroy your apponant. We are all about the fun, unlike what people have done to other sports. If they turn paintball NCAA or somthing like that and they ruin our game by turning it into somthing you can no longer enjoy and all you want to do is win, then they dont know what its all about.

Who knows if it'll ever happen but that would be awsome. I'd like to see paintball become another football or basketball.....
