nice.  i seem to have trouble getting past the 7000 point....  and i keep getting killed when the astroids spawn....  they're like right on top of you and kill you.... i hate it.

I used to have the arcade version of that game in my garage. The strategy was to knock out all the asteroids but one small one, and then move straight up through the screen without stopping.

You keep running straight up the screen endlessly, the object is to hit the flying saucers, racking up 1000 points for the small ones. They are hard to hit, so you have to feather the "fire" button. You never stop moving straight up, if you slow down or stop the saucers always get you.

Playing normally I've scored in the 120k range, using the saucer strategy I've played endlessly, turning over the score. On the original setting you get an extra ship every 10,000 points. When you have more extra ships than you can count, you can guess that the score is pretty high.
