You ahve to have 1000 posts to be gold and 2000 to be plat.

The mods controlled it, which IMO is the best way. Then, the Star System "broke", and they could no longer control it. So the forum admin started doing it by post count. :( And you might wonder why I don't like it (because I'm a plat), and it's because I want to deserve my stars, not get them handed to me by post count.

You need to first understand what the meaning of "quality of posts" mean. Because if you did, I bet you would have never received your 2 strikes. Oh one more thing, you need self control too.  Which all of us do not have much of sometimes.

Except that the new system is not based on post count in all cases... Some people have over 2000 and are still Gold.
