Well i got a 68/3k tank and the Hydro date is 6/02 and the bottom of the writtin says that it needs to be hydroed every 3 years... But i was reading on the forum on PB Nation and they said somethin about the DOT said that any tanks that were rehydroed or made after 5/01 has a 5 year hydro date. Soo I just wanted to make sure.. Is my tank good til 5/07?????? |

Hmm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if it is a steel tank, you need to re-hydro it every 5. If it's carbon-wrapped, then it's every 3.

steel is 3 years, aluminum is 5 years, and some carbon fiber has 3/5 year test cycle. You can go to Hydrotester.com and they have more information on which carbon fiber have a 3 or 5 year rehydrotest. |
