I have decided its time to sell my B2K2 and pick up a new electro. I like smart parts' guns, and the Nerve has some nice features. The Nerve on paper looks to be the same as the Shocker, and is a few hundred dollars cheaper then the shocker. The pimp seems like a nice gun, I have heard good things about the pimp. The Nerve is going for about $500 and the pimp for $600. Which one is better performance wise? I am open to other suggestions, however I do not want used gear and it has to be under $700. I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money.

Pimps are Impulses at heart. Food for thought there.

They are, but do they out perform the Nerve? Or are both guns evenly matched, and it basically comes down to preference? |

The one Nerve I've seen around here was nicer than any Pimp I've seen. Never did like that odd angled-back stick trigger on the Pimp. Both guns, of course, are fast, but the Pimps are very tall, and kind of unwieldy.
The caveat about no used guns is sort of the sticking point here. There's some extremely nice stuff out there in your price range that's lightly used. Just browsing another forum - a rather large one - I've come across a 2k4 Dragon for $550, an 05 Proto for $500, an 05 Freestyle for $470, and a Vision Shocker for $500. All of those came with extra items as well, and were just on the first couple pages of their BST forum. As for new stuff, Freestyle, Nerve, Pimp, Defiant2, 2k5 Intimidator are all within your price range. Out of those, personally, I'd go with the Timmy. Bob certainly knows how to build a gun. Sadly, there's nothing out there these days that will hold its resale value worth a darn... which is why my last, oh, half dozen guns or so have all been used. That, and then the prior owner has had the opportunity to find factory problems before I get it.

I like the Nerves, I don't have much experience with them, I just think they are really underrated.

yea u can. promaster is a waste of money. u have to buy a new reg cuz the stock one sucks, and if u get a new reg then the warranty is no longer applied. so i would get a nerve.

Perhaps the Lasoya Promaster, but I wouldn't go for a stock one. I understand that there was a little engineering issue with the standard Promaster that inhibits changing the battery. That's been fixed in the Lasoya.

Promasters are really nice. The regs are hit or miss some are good, and some need oiling with new orings, and some suck but the Lasoya, will be amazing, ive seen pics and i love it |
