OK i cant decide which to get. I have my eye on the a-5 e but i also like the 98 pro e. I had a 98 custom before and didnt like it very much cause i kept on chopping balls when shooting full auto. Do you think the cyclone feed system will stop that. Or should i just go with the a-5.

dur, if you don't have a proper feeding system, any gun will chop balls. Why give the 98 a bad name?

Well i put a halo hopper on my old 98 custom, but it kept on chopping balls. I now have the halo on my ion and ive shot more than 5000 balls and havent chopped one yet. I loved the 98 custom, im not giving it a bad name.

The ion has an electronic eye, center feed, and low pressure operation over the 98 which probably helps a lot.... The cyclone would aslo help a lot too...

I am calling shens.
98c's are semi. Unless you installed a R/T you wont have full-auto. Most likely you don't know how to properly care for your marker. Don't balme the gun for your operator error. |

well what do you guys think about the way the a-5 feels. I liked the way the 98c felt, cause of those rubber grips, but it looks like the a-5 has no rubber grip. Tell me what you think.

I have not had much experience with the A5, but I've held one a time or
two, its not bad. I don't think its anything to worry about. Its pretty
comfy. Its like a Piranha, those grips are plastic and they feel
alright. I've got an old SL 68, its got a plastic M16 grip and I wish I
could put one on the 98 I got...Its really up to how you feel holding
it, everyone has differing oppinions when it comes to grips.

One problem, R/T's aren't fully auto, although they shoot fast |

It give a Full-Auto feel though. That was my point. If I had to guess he(the orginal poster) did something inheriantly stupid, like removing the sear... |
