A 98 Custom would make a great gun as a starter. It is durable, easy to operate and maintain, and it is vastly upgradable to keep up with your needs.
At first, I recommend worrying about upgrades. Spend your money on actually PLAYING the game instead of the newest or coolest do-dad to screw or glue onto your gun. |

Goto your local paintball field and if they rent markers of different
types try them all. Most fields rent Tippmann Model 98's or 98C's so
your selection is limited. Maybee make friends too at a local park and
see if they will let you try there marker.

umm...what? 98c are awesome, for starters, or for experienced players, in my opinion, so I say go for it! Everyone has their own opinion on certain companies, or guns/upgrades. I would suggest checking out pbreview.com. They have reviews on pretty much ever paintball item there is. Good Luck |
