co2 is temperture dependant. If youre trying to play outside in the cold, that can happen.
An expansion chamber will help, but its just the facts of life of trying to play in the cold. |

With both an expansion chamber and a remote you should be able to maintain velocity better than your friends who do not have these accessories. With the tank in the remote harness, is it pointed up or laid horizontally? With the valve up there is less likelihood of liquid getting into the line. So let's look elsewhere for the problem. If you are shooting at high rates of fire you could be cooling the CO2 bottle enough to reduce pressure. Some expansion chambers develop internal blockages the restrict recovery. Sometimes the ASA on the end of the remote line does not depress the pin valve enough to fully open the bottle. Is the on/off valve on the remote line fully open? Sometimes the part that depresses the pin to release the gas pushes it too far and partially blocks the gas flow out of the bottle. Try changing the open position on any valves, if you can, in the remote line. Try screwing the bottle into the ASA more tightly. If that doesn't work, try screwing the bottle all the way in then backing off 1/2 turn to reposition the distance that the bottle pin valve is depressed. If no improvement, try taking the remote line out of the system. If still no improvement, remove the expansion chamber. then try the remote line without the expansion chamber. Report back to us with the results. Edited by Bruce A. Frank - 17 March 2006 at 12:47pm |
