Be A+ Certified know Windows XP Source Code by heart and build a computer in a toaster but I bet you twenty dollars you can't fix a printer, no one can.

My HP broke a year ago. It was like 8 years old though, but it
was as nice or nicer than most printers today, top of the line when it
was out.

HP software blows. All of the drivers for their printers/scanners come with so much extra crap that is totally unessacary, the basic driver package would be just fine.

Chuck Norris has been done for a couple months. Didn't you read the book? |

Most end users I've supported in the past have failed to do simple things...
Me: "Sir, is the printer power button on?" End User: "No... OMG! You're a Genius!" I always have them check the obvious first ie power, cables, paper, ink/toner. |

I did tech support for a company that made print servers and other various devices but no printers though.

My HP Deskjet that I got for free works fine. But yeah, once they break, it's nearly impossible to fix your average printer. It's best just to get a new one, especially if it was cheap to begin with.

One of our HP printers got a paper jam. I took it all apart and there was nothing there. I did everything the sites said to do. Nothing worked. I still need to take it to a shop or something.

My HP printer would print text fine but when ever you went to print a picture it would say paper jam. I just left it there for awhile then one day it decided to work.

Laff at your problems. So far mine has been great. ITs pretty efficient with ink too, I've been printing notes, assignments, and all my stencils on it and I've changed the black once since I got it.

I have a Lexmark. I like it, but it is an ink hog. The only problem I have had was a screw from the computer desk dropped down into the paper tray, and caused everything to jam. Not really the printers fault. |
