    Posted: 01 April 2006 at 6:52pm

i have a normal custom 98 (ignore my sig) with a "Super RT" installed.  on a regular basis, it "de-cocks" itself, and i have to "re-cock" the marker in order to shoot again.  what could be causing this?  not fun when you are in the heat of battle.

thanks.

Try oiling your gun. I always find this helps. Maybe your gun isn't getting enough air. Try different things to find out what is wrong. Does putting back on the regular r/t fittings and hoses work?

Do you have a sencondary reg for your LPK? If not then you could have screwed somthing up by not having one. If you do make sure that your reg is set correctly. Other then that you may want to clean and oil you gun.

low pressure was where you went wrong. Tippmanns were designed to run on high pressure. It's that simple. Try toying with the regulator. That's the only thing I can think of that would fix it. Sorry man.

no on the LPK.  i have two markers now.  the one i'm playing with now does not have the LPK.  as for the seer spring, it is a brand new marker, so i don't think it is that.  i read in the "problems" forum (duh, i should have thought to look there first ) that it may be the replacement seer spring that comes with the RT needing to be broken in.  i am also using HPA, not C02.  any other ideas?  thanks.

*edit* i also read that a rear stock (i have a folding stock from BT) could cause problems, too.  anyone else have that problem.

no way.  LPK is awesome.  it completely eliminates most of the recoil, quiets the marker some, and helps to increase accuracy.  the only reason i don't use my LPK Tippmann is that i am having fun playing with the Super RT right now.

LPK is nice and everything, but when you have it with the 1/8 hoses it doesnt really increase the ROF. the 1/8 hoses were made for the LPK so the gun could still keep up a steady ROF

measure the length of your rear bolt spring, Tippmann states it should be 4 1/4 inches long if it is less it needs replacement ( Possible problem)  But it almost sounds like your HPA is not refreshing fast enough , what make of tank and reg do you have.

im sorry 2 say.. but i tried the RT. its the wrong way to go.. i would check out the E grip. its more reliable and it will always work. the RT uses Co2/comp air to run. personally i think the E grip was the best upgrade i have dont 2 my gun.

you are probably right.  i got the tanks from ebay.  i think it is a Nitroduck, but i can't remember for sure.  can i replace the reg on the tank, or just add one to my marker (without negating the Super RT)?

The Nitro Dock has a good reg. If your running a verticle adapter check the 90deg where it goes into the powertube/valve they are closed off sometime, the tube is to far into the 90 . If this is the case drill it out.

is your rva in enough to put enough pressure on the
striker to put enough inertia on the valve to put
enough gas being released for cocking automatic?
