Make sure that the valve bolts are tight; do not over tighten. Make sure that you have a good paint to barrel match. Oil your marker and tell us how that works out.

chrono the marker.
By law of physics, any ball travelling at 250fps will go the same distance as any other at the same velocity. Your velocity is either WAY too high, or too low. DO NOT PLAY WITHOUT A CHRONOGRAPH, unless you are only shooting at stuff in the backyard or something. even then, it's a good idea to know your velocity. |

like RG stated "chrono the marker". Go to your nearest paintball field which should have one and ask to get it chronoed. This way you can measure what Feet Per Second your marker is shooting at then adjust it to around 250-280FPS for an ideal setting.

You are kidding, right? What is the only thing that controls distance in a standard barrel (non-Flatline and non-Apex)? Velocity! You cannot tell anything about velocity without a chronograph. When you get the marker adjusted to a velocity up around 275 fps, or either run out of adjustment, then get back to us. We will give you the skinny on what could be causing the problem. And it is usually fairly simple. A top of the line handheld chrono is about $65. A worthwhile investment! |

Also make sure that your ball latch didn't fall out or isn't backwards. I lost mine a while back and my gun was doing the same thing, regardless of my velocity setting. If you find that it is missing, call Tippmann and they'll ship you one gratis. |
