You know how those stocks have places where you can attach a carrying strap to, well where can you attach the strap to in the front on the 98 Custom? And where can I buy one of these carrying straps?

I just used an old leafblower strap for my A-5, but I dont think that'll work with the 98 series.

Go to the sports section of Wal-Mart and look for a rifle sling- sling is the word you're looking for.

As for where to put it, the way I use my is actually as a one point sling- I basically have a loop of sling over my left shoulder and hanging down high on my right side, and then from that right side onto the back of the stock. The marker hangs down vertically when I let it go, but I can whip it back up to a firing position instantly. google 'one point sling' for more info.

Yup, he actually said that.

I found a random strap in my house. If you have any duffel bags, you can
steal the strap from that.

I hooked mine to the stock and replaced the front grip with it. Just take out
the screw, put the hook in, and put the screw back.

This is a very easy upgrade to perform and will cost very little. You only need three things: a sling, a swivel, and a replacemnt grip screw for your 98Custom. This will make the job look very professional.

Step One
Buy a swivel from you local sporting goods store. Go to your local pro shop and buy a replacemnt grip screw.

Step Two
Take the site screw out of the reciever halves. Take the swivel that you bought and put the grip screw into it. Screw the grip screw and swivel into the reciever.

Step Three
Attach your sling to your stock and to the newly installed swivel, and your done.

EDIT-I know that those directions might be hard to follow. I would post more pictures but Im at school and dont have my gun, so I cannot take pictures and show you how.
