I think that Tippmann should come out with a custom limited edition a-5
that uses batteries for the cyclone feeder instead of leftover
air. i have to admit, the a-5 is an air sucker to the max, if
Tippmann could make an electronic a-5 that is more compact, has an
electronic trigger with 4 different modes (like an intimidator, or a
dm5) that comes with a double trigger, and it has to have an electric
cyclone feeder, this way, there owould be a more efficient way of
eliminating the use of an electronic hopper

To me the reason im getting rid of my timmy and shocker, is to get away from the batteries. Id rather have a loader and run with no batteries to worry about. But then again im getting out of the speedball scene to just chill out in the woods :)

actually u guys are right, the whole point of the tippmann a-5 is to
have an automatic feeding hopper run without batteries or the extra
costs. A mechanical angel would be sweet, check out my site to
see my trigger pull mod. freewebs.com/a5frenzy

Electric doesn't sound much like a Tippman but it would be good, but one problem. Scenerio: You are running around near a slippery slope next to a pond. By mistake you fall in because you slip(obviosuly under fire or some sort), your gun falls in first along with your trigger finger hand. Your gun is now soaked with swampy muddy water. Will the Electric feed system short out? And if you have a E-Grip will that short out too? Can that happen? I am not much of a paintball maker, but i know MP5 can go underwater. So why not a paintball gun? My regular A-5 works great after in water. The scenario that i spoke about... happened to me. lol (clumsy me..looking for a way out...i only saw water(paintballs break on the surface))....so i just stayed in the water.... gun worked great.. but i have no electric stuff.
Over all...paintball makers must come out with better way to fire a paintball and for cheaper. |

It could work if the cyclone was wired to the E-grip for synchronization. |

that is a really bad idea. you would probably end up spending more on batteries than you would on c02 or air. one of the better things about tippmann is the fact that they are MECHANICAL, not electric. and the cyclone uses leftover gas, so just don't do it

Yeah, can't say as I like the idea much either. I purposely bought a mechanical gun because of it's simplicity and reliability.
And batteries? No thanx! Just another expensive consumable. Plus I prefer to operate as enviromentally friendly as possible, so NIX to the batteries, eh! ![]() Edited by Gropo - 15 May 2006 at 9:27pm |
