That doesn't seem like much work.
Do I have to polish my internals on my 98C? & Whats so bad about the overspray? |

the overspray slows the internals down and doesn't allow them to operate smoothly.

they can be polished many ways, but what i used was a wie brush and drip a little oil for about every 3minutes of scrubbig. then i scrubbed for about 10 minutes or a little more. do so until all of the inside paint is removed and until it gets a mirror type finish

Im planing to polish mine too...but you should be aware that doing so could void your warranty...well atleast i read so on this forum and he sed that thats what happened to him...well either way im polishing mine also..

I used a very light sand paper and gently removed the over spray. Do not sand into the metal just the over spray. Then I used Mother's Aluminum Polish to buff and polish the section where the power tube and bolt slide back and forth. The trick here is to just make things run smoother. Do not over do it other wise you could damage the inside of the clam shells causing the power tube not to seal.
