waduip every1, im new to this all and i was thinking about this, if a ball where to break in the barrel in the heat of battle, what would be the quickest way to clean it out? i read somewhere that you can just slide the barrel out the shroud without having to loosen those 3 screws and removing the whole thing. also how do you actually remove the barrel from the shroud??

Depends, 98c flatline is way different than the A-5...It is pretty much impossible to help you without that info.

EASY In the heat of battle the only way to clean your barrel short of a squeege is to turn the gun upside down (so no balls shoot out) then fire it at the ground 10-15 times. The force of the air/co2 shout dislodge any large chunks in the barrel. It's not perfect but it will keep you in the fight.
PS also to clean the flatline just run a squeege through the hole the balls feed into and out the barrel. Enjoy! |

That wont clean out a flatline too well.
You'll need to fire some cotton balls with alcohol soaked in them to quickyl clean it. Keep a plastic zip lock baggy with you on the field. |

What I do is I keep the two screws on the end of the gun slightly loose (keeping the cyclone bigger screw all the way in.). Then a cord squeegee that looks like this |

he's probably saying that you push the front sight down(the metal piece with the wierd-looking spring), so that the cyclone is still attached to the gun, but is pivoting on the two pins. then put in a cotton ball, fire, put in another ball, fire again, and then click the cyclone back in place; instead of putting the cotton balls in the cyclone itself. |

The a-5 cyclone doesn't work like that, you can't just pivot it, its attached to the reciever halves with a screw. Now to the question on ebay you can find a quickstrip kit for the a-5 flatline, it is basically 3 big thumb screws that you can turn with your bare hands. It makes everything alot easier |

Safest suggestion - take yourself out of the game, go to your car or bench, take off the Flatline with paintball tools you should alway be taking with you to the paintball field run a squeeze through it put the barrel back on. Now if you have the cash, carry a tiberius pistol with plenty of extra magazines. Buy a strap for the A-5. If a ball then breaks in the barrel (hardly ever with a Tippmann) then strap that gun to your back and pull out the Tiberius pistol. |
