I currently own a custom 98 super RT and I want to purcase an A-5. At first I thought that the RT would convert fine but after calling tippmann and seeing pictures, i made a fool out of myself. When I called tippmann, they said that the A-5 RT has many more parts and that you would have to purchase them individually. So I am wondering if any of you know which parts are needed? If it adds up too high, I met as well just sell the RT and get and e-trigger, but thats not really within my budget lol.

what's wrong with the 98? i think you would just need a "T" fitting and a piece of hose to convert it but i'm not for sure

to be honest, i just rlly want an A-5 lol. It is true that u just need a t fitting for the 98 cyclone but im looking at which parts are needed to coonvert the 98 rt to A-5 rt, and i know theres a few parts, not just the t fitting.

Yep, buy the cyclone. That way you'll have the same firepower as an A5 w/o spending the $220.

thx for that site. Perfectly solved all problems. But As I was going 2 buy the A-5, the manager of the store said they are not making A-5's anymore. Tippmanns new line up is coming out in a few months so Ill wait. This time tho, tippmanns will not be made in the USA, but in Asia ( as expected, not that I have a problem with that at all * azn pride*) Thx for all the help tho peeps. Ill just use my 98 till then |

that's hard to believe. I have a strong feeling he's making that up. Tippmann is not one to stop production of a successfull marker... look at how many versions of the 98 there are!

i highly doubt they would stop production too. What i should have said was newer version like the 98 custom pro possibly for the A-5 |
