Hoping for some help from the mechanically inclined.

SITUATION: Unable to get FPS on my A-5 above 240.  Have adjusted velocity screw, to no effect.

SEEKING: Suggestions as to origins of the problem.

A-5 CONFIGURATION: RT, BT AK-47 barrel, AK clip (aesthetic), X-chamber, remote line, 20 oz CO2 tank.

Any ideas?

You screwed the velocity screw OUT, right? And your CO2 tank is pretty full?
You might need to buy a Madman spring kit for it...

Or something people tend to overlook on low velocity is bad paint/bore match. If the paint is so small that it wants to roll out the barrel if you tip the muzzle downwards, or if it's so big that it has to be forced thru the barrel, that would cause problems as well. This isn't a likely problem, but some people just don't think of something like that.

Check your velocity without your remote.

All,

Thanks for the suggestions.  Upon consideration, I think the spring may be the culprit.  I will be checking it out tonight, and will report back with outcomes.

Again, thanks for the insights.

No problem, make sure that when you store the marker that it is not cocked. This will weaken the drive spring.
