are there any mods that can be done to the GTA ram to make it cycle faster than 13 bps. It was stated that the TE ram will do 17 but what all was done to it. from what i thought it wasn't two wayed.
i really don't want to do the two way confurson just b/c i leave for basic soon and i want to use it some. |

I think its the board thats capped at 13bps, not the ram itself. Not sure though. I never really messed with one that much so idk.

i don't want to do that yet b/c i leave for basic in less than a month and i havn't been able to play much with it since i up graded the heck out of it.
the problem i am haveing is that it won't shoot faster than 12/13 bps. don't get me wrong that fast but i would like to hit like 18 with out any problem. |

So you are saying that you are chopping balls like crazy because the board is sending faster signals than the ram can actually cycle? If you were actually sending 15 per second and the ram was only able to cycle at 13 per second you would be re-firing the ram before it has fully retreated. So either you'd be chopping paint or firing many shots with no paint going through. With a little triggering circuit I built to control the gas solenoid I was able to cycle the GTA ram at 17-18 per second. Dwell time set too high can prevent the ram from cycling at its full capacity. As for the desire to hit 18, how, set on full auto? With the board set on semi-auto and fully "de-bounced" virtually no one can actually exceed 13 bps for more than a split second. The stock GTA ram with a hopper than can feed that fast (Halo B WILL NOT CONTINUOUSLY HANDLE 16 bps) is capable of running at 17+ bps. |

bruce with my board i can do ramping(which my field allows)
you said that it will do 17+ when i tried to have it ramp(15 max) it would shoot some but then it just would shoot anymore balls. It kept cycleing but no balls come out. I took it down to 12 bps max and it worked pretty good. but it did chop once. so what can i do and the easier and faster i can do it the better |

Does that circuit board have a dwell control? Shorten the dwell and increase pressure(not ram pressure, but pressure to the marker power valve) to compensate. Let me know how it functions. I, at one time, had my dwell set too long. The ram would stay forward so long that the next signal to fire pushed the ram forward again before it had retracted far enough to allow the next ball to drop into position. Consequently at my maximum rate of fire nothing was coming out of the barrel about half the time. |

yeah i set the dwell low and the pressure up to 400. and it did the same thing. I then capped my board on 12 bps and it worked great.
