The high and low refers to the output pressure of the tank. A high output pressure tank puts out ~850psi, which is similar to a CO2 tank. High output tanks are interchangeable with CO2 tanks. Low output pressure tanks put out ~450psi, and are used mostly for expensive electros. With almost any Tippmann you should use a high pressure tank.
