i ghetto rigged some lines to tweak my reg and it started on 600 and it worked and i was like ok thats cool i thought they needed 800, but w/e so i decrease the pressure a lil by lil, i get to 300 psi and its still cycling! the r/t is shooting a lil slower than normal but it was still working. is this normal? i thought it would have stopped cycling a long time ago

Yes, this is normal. It also depends on the gas source CO2 can normally attain a lower operating pressure than HPA.

Beacuse of the liquid properties of CO2, you can normally achieve lower pressures because it expands into gas inside the valve.

It depends on alot of factors, mainly outside temp though.

Although you can likely decrease and cycle at a lower pressure, your fps numbers are likely dropping quickly.
I set up my A-5 with the velocity screw flush with the power tube and used my palmers to set the velocity. With this arrangement if i dropped under 625 PSI, I'd drop under 270 fps. |

its pretty normal, but the regulator is probably off by like 100psi.
Also, once you crono it, you'll probably have to turn it a few hundred psi back up to get the right velocity. |

RavenGuards right. It may cycle, but think about it, there isnt a whole lot it has to do to cycle. I mean if you can easily cock the marker, then think how little force that is. Im guessing (key word Guess) about 30 psi. while the marker wont operate that low, you get the point. You might get 50 fps out of 300 psi stock if your lucky though. Now if you made a volumizer...
