go with the 98c, custom pro, or the A-5 if you feel like stretching your budget a little. alot of people don't really see much of a difference between the A-5 and the 98, but believe me, it makes a huge difference. they are not the same gun. don't let someone convince you that an A-5 is a 98c with a new body and a special hopper. if you got the money to go for an A-5, definantly look into it.

Yeah, they're the same gun. A 98 with a cyclone has the exact same functionality, accuracy, effeciency, you name it, of an A-5. All of the benefits of having an A-5 are basically off-field benefits aside from the vertical adaptor. I should know, all of my friends have custom pros and I have an a-5. I'll take my girlfriends pro out for a spin (yeah, so what if it's purple!) and the only difference I see is it's lighter. I love both the a-5 or 98, but if you have any reason to sway you either way i'd say go for it. The cyclone is my choice of hopper either way though. I've never played with an Ion, but i've heard they can be trouble. The spyder MR2 is actually decent, a teammate owns one and I love it myself. I woudln't suggest any other spyders... If you want to go the speedball route and look, the ion is a much better idea than the spyder. Edited by RavenGuard - 05 June 2006 at 5:52pm |

Some pro-shops don't care about anything other than making money.
Some will help you out, and try to get you the best deal. Its a 50/50 chance that you will recieve somone who knows what they are talking about, and isnt just trying to make a sale. |

The 98 with A.C.T has a anti chop bolt and will well....... stop you from choping paintballs. The CP A.C.T has a longer barrel(same accuracy) and a 2x trigger and drop forward. Very good gun, Good choice, after you play you can start thinking about what you need to make your game beter But intill then Id just stick to a stock gun and learn the thing inside in out! |
