Okay, well. I've been playing for a good year or so. Upgrading my 98 C as I have gone along. Being the poor mofo I am, it's nothing to piss your pants about. Most of the upgrades are rather noticable. Uhm, basically, I am just kinda wondering 'what next?'. I've heard about upgrading the R/T, heard of the Cyclone feed and that Anti-chop system is looking pretty nice.. I live in SW Florida and game play/knowledge seems little to none. And the newly opened paintball shop seem to be more interested in making cash then lending answers and advice. So, I come to you all. I just have some minor questions before I try to get my pic to work.

1. Is it worth getting the "Super R/T" ?
2. Is it worth getting the Cyclone feed?
3. How much is that combination going to steal from my tanks?
4. How do I adjust the R/T I currently have installed?

I'm pretty sure I am going to get bombed by the mods about questions and what topic they belong in, so i'll save my curiosity for that forum. Well, here goes. Feel free to comment on it, give me advice, etc...

Not too bad.  I'd do some milling.  Customize it.  Make it your own.

Yeah, repaint that, take off TIPPMANN 98C and keep it real, where is the love with that?

That gun all cash upgrades, no hard labor(i think?)

Polish those internals, paint that gun.  You will feel soo much more confident when you shoot.

Also, i find Dye Sticky Grips to be awsome on 98c... others may disagree, but i think they are great-lookin and comfortable.

The worthiness of the Super R/T, or the cyclone depend on if you need a higher ROF as that's all those mods are good for.  If you want a higher ROF, that combo is pretty good for the buck.  That's assuming you wanna keep your Tippmann.

I had an Ebolt in my gun not because I wanted a higher ROF (I kept it around 7-8 BPS, and on Semi Auto), I wanted improved consistancy and the ability to reduce/eliminate blow-back noise.  It sure was expensive but, was it worth it?  Yeah, as there is no other reliable method.

There's a Super R/T sticky. I suggest going there to learn about it.

Gas-efficiency:  I couldn't tell you.  A lot of people emphasize that those mods just use excess gas anyways.  Personally, I'm a little skeptical of those claims.  I mean, how much excess gas is lost on each shot?

Yea, I found Raven's sticky earlier when searching for ideas and what not.

The gun is basically put together with things that you could walk into a store or buy online and find. I figure I will have the marker for some time, and maybe I should look into the paint and such. Only thing is, i'm being kicked over to Fortworth NC in Sept. to get kicked around for 13 weeks in Basic Training, then who knows what after that. I've been talking to the recruiter about being a Scout Sniper. My opinion, the best position there is. But I am sure there can be a heated debate over it. I am sure if I get such a position, modding the Tipp to look like my rifle would be quite the sensation..

Thanks, i'm looking to stay in the sport for a while. Just played my first Scenerio in Ocala, Fl. Must say it just fed my addiction. xD Still looking for help with adjusting the R/T, though.

If you want good looking Mil-Sim markers , give a look to anything made by Englerpaintball for some ideas .

There are other ways to increase your ROF reliably . I went with a Halo . Dark Horizons (Lite) Titanium hammer , Rufus Dawg center feed , Tippmann double trigger , Red-dot sights ,  and considerable trigger work and internal modifications (keeping it all mechanical) .

Its a pretty sweet shooter and looks okay but nothing special . I havent chopped a ball since I added the new hopper last year , and I've been in the upper teens , thats fast enough for all of my needs .

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
Widowmaker , under construction

1-depends, you want faster?
2-if you said yes to 1, then yes, or a halo.....
3-? firing faster=more shots=depleted tanks faster.........
4-call up tippmann ad tell tem you got a low pressure kit, and that you need a bigger hose for your r-t, cuz in lp, the r-t needs more air, then just run the newer hose, ad the r-t will shoot >20 bps.

edit wait, you running nitro or co2?

Get rid of the scope and it'll look alright. The Super RT is definately worth looking into as well as the cyclone. It wont cost you a whole lot. The cyclone sells for about $50 and you can get a T fitting free from Tippmann.

I would lose the scope. Scopes are pretty much worthless in paintball. In paintball you do not have the range or accuracy that is neassacary to justify the scope. Also scopes lead to tunnel vision, which will cause you to be easily eliminated by a person on your flanks.

Work on that foregrip, it takes away from your gun's looks, get a really cool 1 and ur gun will kick total ass, right now I'd give it an 8/10

Tippmann E-Grip
Tippmann Flatline Barrel
Spec Ops A-5A2 Stock

Your first thing shoud he to work with what "you" like and do not believe everything you hear. And as as for scopes

They work great if setup and used correctly. I play woods ball alot and I setup a scope on my gun using a lapco dovetail mount, the mount locks the scope solid on the gun and it raises the scope to a level that is comfortable to look through. I use my scope very sucessfully to do the following things
1) Verify targets that I see at a distance, lets me know if in fact it is someone or just a stump
2) Allows me to easily center shots on targets that I am firing at, also instead of having to walk paintballs into someone I am trying to hit at a distance I can aim and hit them with the very first paintball, not giving them time to duck after my first shot is fired.
3) If I am trying to advance to an area i use it to verify that the area is clear of oponents, nothing worse then running towards a spot where someone is already waiting
4) I use it to bury paintballs in bunker holes, I am able to see small holes in bunkers and  I line up my shots through the holes to hit someone inside

The big things to remember is, if the scope has magnification it should be no more then like 3 or 4 x, make sure that it is mounted so that you can see clearly though it even when wearing your mask, this is usually only a factor if you have a stock. And only look through the scope to fire on something or confirm something, don't get tunnel vision byt always looking through it.

Keep these things in mind and a scope can be a very useful tool
Don't bring a speed ball gun to a woods ball fight

Allright, well, another trip to the local pro-shop has opened my view a little bit more. Things I am not satisfied with at the moment:

1. Flatline barrel
2. Scope Alignment.

Which, the two sorta are the same problem, but whatever. You see, I think my next upgrade will be a good tank of HPA. I like the distance the Flatline gives me, but the velocity spikes are killer. So, that's on priority list number one. My annoyance with the scope (Bought 34$ at Wal-mart. 9x's zoom) Is that the shroud for the Flatline that runs across the top of the gun, somehow, gets bent when the barrel is put through. Being this is bent, the scope mounts are so far away from target, that even with adjusting the horzontal and vertical risings, it never lines up. AND, I can't get a good view of the shot point with the balls spiking left, right, up, down, or wherever the hell they want to go.  So here is, what I think, is a good solution to the problem. And please, tell me what you think.

Plan "A"
1. Get HPA.
2. That fixes spiking problem
3. I'm happy again, until I figure out how to "add my own touch" to the gun.

Plan "B"
1. Ditch the Flatline.
2. Find 14", or longer, barrel to regain the distance.
3. Milsim it up from there.

You see, the Empire Ehopper that I have now, gets 13 bps, and that's fine. I'm not one to go out blasting through the woods.(More the suttle, "Where did that come from?!!" guy ) I know everyone had their own idea about what looks good, what is efficient, what makes something more accurate, and the things that don't do anything. I am finding out more, the more I search myself. So, the help is greatly appreciated.

You know, another thing the scope is for.. is intimidation big time. Lol once this guy had one like yours and there were some kids there talking and one of them was like "no way man i'm not getting out of that spot i found that one guy will just snipe me" It was funny..

but anyway.. your plans are good. Ditching the flatline would result in you losing money . But yeah get hpa first of all.. then soon try customising more. I want to do some of that myself.. right after I get hpa
