Would this tank cover fit my 92/4500 crossfire tank??  IT says 88/91 but i think it would be able to fit a 92ci.

Yes that will fit. It will be tight, but it'll work.

So is that mt best bet or is there something eles?

Dye makes a good cover and 1 ci is not much difference. I have been able to get an 88 cover on my 90 tank, but it was difficult. You should have no trouble with this fit.
