    Posted: 11 June 2006 at 10:35pm

I am assuming this is a problem with my Response Trigger, but i dont know.  I put the trigger in my 98 custom and now my gun is having problems firing.

When i give the gun air i can hear a small leak coming out of the FRONT end the R/T line comes from.  If i shoot the gun a few times the leak goes away(im assuming from the CO2).  When i shoot the gun i get one great shot, then i shoot again and it is weak and the gun does not recock.

it stays with this patern.

recock gun...great shot...crappy shot no recock

Thank you in advance for everyones help.

Oh...also i have an extra piece from my R/T trigger.   obviously this could be a problem.  The extra piece is the shut off plug...im 90% sure

Im not sure I understand you.  you ball dedent backwards. sorry man.

Hey, i have a question for you guys. Can someon just take a picture of there gun and post it?  What I am looking for is a picture of the back side of the gun (the side where the R/T trigger line runs). This way I will know if I installed it right. That would help me GREATLY!  Oh, obviously, i would need a picture of a 98C with the R/T installed THanx

Hey, first off that shut off plug is not the problem, you only need it to shut off the plug where the power screw for the r/t hose is attached to. Therefore, you dont need it unless you WANT to disarm your r/t.

Also, it will be easier if you posted your picture of the gun and people will be able to help you easier. Im guessing its the leak in your power hose that you mentioned. Either make sure you have the hoses on securely and have o rings where it is neccessary, or make sure your screws are on correctly.

What the other guy mentions about the ball detent is the little orange rubber thing in front of your front bolt which holds the paintball in place when it drops from your feeder. Make sure it is facing the right way.

here's a pic of my R/T and cyclone setup.

the connector circled in red is the flow control screw. the connector circled in white is the banjo T-fitting, but if you don't have the cyclone, it'll just be a 90* fitting that connects to the power tube.

Ok i can see my problem now.  The line is backwards.  i have the 90 degree fitting at the rear of the gun.  Let me try it and see if it works.  Also, i think the leak is coming from the air line (from the tank to the gun).  I tried fixing it with plumbers tape.  didnt work...it actually made it worse ( of course now i know if is definetly coming from there...so it helps a little).

Another thing.  The black plastic piece that goes in front of the bolt. ( a piece is setting inside it), has a little crack in it. Would this cause air leaks?

i am sorry i do not know the lingo for all the parts. I will try and get pictures. they should help me and you

This is in reference to your last post : What you are describing sounds like the power tube, if it has a crack in it it needs to be replaced.
