Two correctly sized wrenches or one wrench and a pair of Vise Grips. A sealant of some kind may have been used in the connection (LocTite?). Heat the large fitting over an candle flame (to keep from getting things too hot) and with the proper size wrenches it should just unscrew. A pair of cotton gloves will save you some burns.

You might not be able to.

On the first run of A5's Tippmann used standard hoses, and that black thing was a 1/8 NPT to ASA adapter.

However on later A5's they went to a stupid non-standard hose and fitting system that makes it impossible to use the stock hose to install an x-chamber or regulator or anything else.

Twist the black thing, if it spins freely on the hose you have a later model A5 and youll have to buy a new hose and 90 degree fitting, or a macro line kit.

If it doesnt turn, or you can tell that the hose is actually threaded in to the black adapter, you can get 2 wrenches and twist it off, then screw the hose into your expansion chamber (With teflon tape of course) and all will be well.

When i bought my DOP X-core my paintball people installed it.

I had to pay for a smaller hose though.

Your gonna need a shorter hose anyway.  Just unscrew the one you have from the ASA and pick up a new one.
One shot, One kill.... Oh, wait. What fun is that? TEN shots, one kill, and a bunch of welts on your back.

-90' macroline fitting

-straight peice fitting

- hose

if your output hole is on the side then get

-2X straight

I have an A5 with a similar adapter, and no matter what you do and use, it just would not screw off.  Save yourself the pain and just buy a new line and fitting.
